Job Description Summary
The Evendale Security Patrolman will provide plant wide security services to enforce company and plant rules and regulations. In this role, you will be responsible for the protection of life and property, preventing illicit entry into the plant, illegal or unauthorized removal and theft of property, control of traffic, crowd control at special events, and assistance in emergencies.
Roles and Responsibilities- Control the flow of pedestrians at gates, inspect all persons for proper identification badges, and inspect packages/parcels for contraband or illegal removal of company property.
- Inspect vehicles entering or leaving through perimeter gates to ensure authorization in accordance with security requirements, ensure no evidence of weapons or substances intended to cause harm, and audit vehicle contents as directed by the Supervisor.
- Patrol all buildings, parking lots, fence lines and grounds as directed by the Supervisor.
- Check for and report all infractions of plant rules/regulations and report all violations surrounding the protection of classified information/materials in accordance with government regulations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all security patrol instructions, post orders, information bulletins, security processes, company policies and verbal instructions to handle any situation with poise, tact and efficiency.
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of military or security related experience.
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Desired characteristics: law enforcement background, past military service, military police or other related service, other security related experience (e.g., private security).
- Have an A class physical without limitations that would prevent the applicant from performing the full scope of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to interface well with employees and visitors.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, neat written reports.
- Criminal Justice Degree or similar from an accredited university or college.
This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
