The Director of Corporate Security & Loss Prevention will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-wide strategies to mitigate inventory loss, internal misconduct, operational risk, and physical security vulnerabilities across Arhaus retail and corporate locations.
This role integrates proactive loss prevention, internal investigations, compliance auditing, and physical security governance into a unified enterprise function.
Loss Prevention Strategy- Develop and implement company-wide shrink reduction strategy
- Analyze POS data for exception reporting (discounts, overrides, returns)
- Conduct routine and surprise operational audits
- Identify systemic vulnerabilities in process and policy
- Lead investigations into internal theft and misconduct
- Partner with HR on disciplinary procedures
- Conduct interviews and case documentation
- Liaise with legal counsel when appropriate
- Audit discretionary discount authority
- Identify misuse patterns
- Develop guardrails and approval workflows
- Implement manager-level accountability reporting
- Standardize documentation and approval processes
- Audit backroom handling procedures
- Implement chain-of-custody controls where needed
- Develop enterprise physical security standards
- Oversee access control systems and credential governance
- Standardize CCTV strategy where appropriate
- Manage security vendor relationships
- Provide quarterly shrink and risk dashboards
- Report trends and corrective action plans
- Present findings to executive leadership
- Align prevention strategy with financial metrics
- 10–12+ years in retail loss prevention or corporate security
- Experience in high-value retail environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS exception reporting tools
- Experience building enterprise LP programs from ground up
- Strong cross-functional leadership capability
- Knowledge of access control and physical security systems
