Security Officer

Security Officer position with a $500 hiring incentive. Provides protection of company assets and a safe environment for team members and guests.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the safety and well-being of guests and fellow team members.
• Gives directions and escorts customers in need.
• Provide security during the VLT drop by keeping unauthorized persons out of the area and maintaining sight of the drop team and keys.
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external guests.
• Monitor entrances and employee entrances to ensure no one under 21 enters the Racino.
• Assist civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and other administrative hearings.
• Escort money and persons in money-handling positions as required.
• Provide first aid, including CPR when necessary.
• Patrol all property areas to identify safety hazards and security gaps.
• Interview, investigate and document incidents in accordance with company policy.
• Log detailed descriptions of lost and found items.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures; meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Address unauthorized individuals and escort guests and team members as directed.
• Manage calls, computer and radio traffic in the dispatch office.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement as needed to maintain law and order.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Able to work any day of the week and any shift.
• Present a well-groomed appearance.

Education and Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in security or police field, or related education; or equivalent combination of experience and education; or 2 years in customer service/hospitality in related roles.

Required Certification/License

• Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission license.
