Retail Loss Prevention Detective

Boscov's Department Store is seeking a Retail Loss Prevention Detective to protect company assets and ensure a safe shopping environment. In this role, you will conduct floor surveillance, identify and apprehend shoplifters in accordance with company policies and laws, and complete detailed incident reports. You will monitor CCTV, review exception reports, and partner with store leadership to reduce shrink through audits, training, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct floor surveillance to detect and deter theft and fraud
• Apprehend shoplifters safely and in accordance with company policies and laws
• Monitor CCTV and review exception and POS reports for suspicious activity
• Complete accurate incident reports and maintain detailed case files
• Work with store leadership to implement shrink-reduction strategies
• Perform audits of high-risk merchandise and operational procedures
• Assist in safety and security checks of sales floor and backroom areas
• Support training of store associates on theft awareness and prevention
• Partner with local law enforcement as needed on investigations
• Uphold Boscov's standards for integrity, customer service, and professionalism
