Security Guard​/Cargo Screener

Andy Frain Services is seeking a vigilant Security Guard / Cargo Screener to support our Transportation & Logistics operations within the Security & Law Enforcement department. In this role, you will screen cargo using X-ray and related technologies, verify documentation, control access to secure areas, and monitor surveillance systems to ensure regulatory compliance and safeguard people, property, and freight. You will collaborate with law enforcement and internal teams, complete detailed reports, and respond to alarms or incidents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cargo screening using X-ray, metal detectors, and other security equipment in compliance with transportation and logistics regulations
• Verify shipping documents, cargo labels, and identification to ensure accuracy and prevent unauthorized access
• Perform access control duties, including badge checks and vehicle inspections at cargo and facility entry points
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, reporting and responding to suspicious activity or security breaches
• Follow standard operating procedures for handling restricted, hazardous, or high-value cargo
• Collaborate with law enforcement, transportation partners, and internal security teams to resolve security incidents
• Complete detailed incident, screening, and activity reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Participate in ongoing security, safety, and compliance training to maintain certifications and up-to-date knowledge
• Provide professional customer service to drivers, vendors, and staff while enforcing security policies
• Support emergency response, evacuation, and contingency procedures as directed by site leadership
