Position: Industrial Electrician / PLC Technician
Location: Middlefield

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Industrial Electric an / PLC Technician for a local client in Middlefield, OH. Candidates who have a background working as a Controls Engineer in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

Overview of position:

The purpose of this position is to satisfy our internal and external customer needs and employer's expectations while safely producing quality products in an efficient manner. Electrical / PLC work is the main focus of this position.

Repairs and maintains electrical and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other production equipment. Must be familiar with company's Preventive Maintenance Program and perform duties as required.

Responsibilities of this Position:

• Perform preventive maintenance according to defined procedures as outlined by the maintenance supervisor.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs/ replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans equipment or parts of equipment as required.
• Test devices to ensure optimum performance.
• Ensure that all maintenance oils and lubricants be stored and discarded according to environmental laws.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
