Overview
Glen-Gery, one of the nation’s leading brick manufacturers, has a new career opportunity available for experienced and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our manufacturing plant in Iberia, OH.
Position SummaryAs the Industrial Electrician, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as motors; hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Be adept at installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining PLC and/or computer-controlled production equipment and controls to include Modicon and Allen Bradley equipment.
Required Skills/Abilities- Must be able to read prints, diagrams, schematics, programs and operating instructions and have a record of dependability and outstanding job attendance
- Assist in the maintaining of preventive maintenance schedule for all electronics/equipment
- Must be able to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of industrial equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyors
- Troubleshooting, maintaining and installing electrical equipment
- Provide technical assistance on the design, repair, or improvement of equipment
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Electrician within a manufacturing environment
- An Associate degree in Electrical Technology and/or graduation from an acceptable Technical Training Institution in an electrical or electronic systems program is preferred.
- Proven experience with PLC (Allen Bradley) and/or computer-controlled production equipment essential
- Must be able to read and understand complex program and equipment manuals with a high degree of comprehension and accuracy
- Possess experience in AC/DC motor control.
