Mechanical Transportation
The Mechanical Transportation Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance of the company's fleet of vehicles and transportation equipment, ensuring optimal operation and safety in the operations of CROWN Envases México, S.A. de C.V.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Perform diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in cargo vehicles (trucks, trailers) and other transportation equipment.
- Execute repairs and replacement of mechanical components, such as engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering, and suspension.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filters, level checks, and lubrication.
- Regularly inspect the fleet of vehicles to identify potential problems and prevent major breakdowns.
- Document in detail the work performed, time spent, and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Handle workshop tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Technical education in Automotive Mechanics, Diesel, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a mechanic for heavy-duty vehicles and transportation equipment.
- Solid knowledge in diesel systems, transmissions, air brakes, and automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and solve complex mechanical problems.
- Handling of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Current driver's license (type B or C preferred).
- Availability to work shifts and perform overtime when required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
