Heavy Equipment Repair specialist

Martin Marietta is looking for a motivated Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The selected candidate will perform mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment, including troubleshooting, heavy equipment rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance.

• Work safely at all times.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobile equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, and Volvo quarry and construction equipment, including diesel engines.
• Use a wide variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Weld, cut, and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Vocational training or equivalent experience.

• High‑school diploma or GED.
• Minimum five years of experience repairing CAT, Komatsu, and Volvo quarry/construction equipment and diesel engines.
• Certification from a trade school is preferred.
• A CDL with a clean driving record.

This is a full‑time position requiring more than 40 hours per week in a surface mine setting, frequently operating heavy equipment.

Employee must stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle tools and controls, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, or smell, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close & distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
