Carpenter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Job Summary Nex Gen  Construction Group is seeking an experienced Carpenter with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in both commercial and residential construction. This role requires a skilled professional who can work independently or as part of a team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and with high-quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities Perform all aspects of carpentry work including framing, finishing, and general construction

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately

Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, and drywall

Ensure all work is completed to code and company standards

Maintain a clean and safe job site Collaborate with project managers and other trades to meet deadlines

Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience (commercial and residential required)
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

Proficient with hand tools and power tools

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred

Preferred Skills

Experience with finish carpentry

Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems OSHA certification is a plus

Work Environment Work will be performed on active construction sites (commercial and residential)
Physical demands include lifting, bending, standing, and working in various weather conditions
