About Maintenance rations is at the heart of Amazon’s business. Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) partners to maintain robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) for high availability and continuous improvement. This role is a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) focused on learning and applying electronic, mechanical, computer, and control skills in a high-automation environment. You will learn to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair systems to maintain process efficiency, assist in installation and maintenance of automated packaging and distribution equipment, and ensure preventative maintenance is conducted to a high standard while adhering to safety regulations.
You will work with journey workers at various facilities, including high-automation and robotics sites, following technical documents and safety provisions. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and self-motivation, with mentorship from senior technicians to support your growth.

Program Requirements- Flexible to relocate after completion of the program
- Able to enroll in and attend a 9-week training at designated training providers (location assigned post-interview)
- Meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test

Key Job Responsibilities- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using applicable job plans, procedures, and manuals
- Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment components
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, proximity devices, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, and related components
- Able to move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways, and perform bending, lifting, and reaching as needed
- Associate of Science, or 4+ years of military experience
- High School Diploma
- 1+ years of PC software experience (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items
- Knowledge of mathematics with experience reading measurements
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing material handling equipment (MHE)
- Experience implementing safety standards
- Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics

The starting pay for this position includes base pay and applicable shift differentials, with additional earnings possible from overtime. Final pay is based on shift selection and location.
