Overview

PSG, a fast‑growing construction and infrastructure firm specializing in mission‑critical environments, is seeking a skilled Senior / Master Electrician to join our team on a high‑profile data center construction project in Lordstown, Ohio. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary power distribution systems, as well as supporting permanent electrical installation work on an active construction site.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced construction environments, values operational excellence and safety, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for planning, supervising, and executing complex electrical work in mission‑critical data center environments. You will ensure the highest levels of safety, reliability, and quality while leading teams and interfacing with engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.

This role will initially support a 6‑month data center construction project based in Lordstown, Ohio, with a strong pipeline of follow‑on projects nationwide. This is not a short‑term assignment — upon successful completion of the first project, you will transition directly to subsequent projects, offering long‑term career stability and growth.

Duties
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate teams of electricians and subcontractors on data center electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities. Plan daily/weekly work activities, allocate resources, and ensure work meets schedule and quality targets.
  • Perform and oversee complex troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of issues in UPS, generator, switch gear, and power distribution systems. Provide technical guidance on design reviews, value engineering, and constructability for electrical scopes.
  • Champion a strong safety culture; lead safety audits, permit‑to‑work processes, and ensure full compliance with all regulatory and client requirements. Ensure all work meets or exceeds data center reliability standards (Uptime Institute Tier levels, TIA‑942, etc.).
  • Interface with project managers, engineers, clients, and vendors on technical matters and progress reporting. Train and develop junior and intermediate team members; support knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
Must‑haves
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus extensive electrical apprenticeship and field experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive electrical experience, with significant work in critical facilities or data centers.
  • Valid Master Electrician license (or highest applicable certification in the jurisdiction).
  • Deep knowledge of critical power systems (UPS, generators, paralleling switch gear, PDUs), redundancy architectures (N+1, 2N), and commissioning processes.
  • Ability to read and work with complex electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven commitment to safety and compliance with NFPA 70E, arc‑flash protection, and OSHA standards.
Nice‑to‑haves
  • Mandarin Chinese language skills (spoken and written) — a significant advantage for coordination with project teams.
  • Specialized certifications in critical power systems (UPS, generators, paralleling switch gear), arc flash / NFPA 70E certified.
  • Data center‑specific training (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience on large‑scale hyperscale data center campuses (100 MW+).
  • Familiarity with Ohio building codes and Midwest construction practices.
Experience
  • Minimum 7+ years of electrical field experience.
  • Significant experience in mission‑critical facilities such as data…
