$28.00 – $35.00 per hour based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Night shift receives an additional $2.00 per hour shift premium. Night shift total earning range: $30.00 – $37.00 per hour with shift premium.
Custom Glass Solutions is seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician – Multi-Craft to join our Maintenance Team at our Upper Sandusky, OH glass manufacturing facility.
This opening is currently for night shift, working 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM on a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule. Night shift receives an additional $2.00 per hour shift premium.
This is a hands-on maintenance role responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment. Our maintenance technicians support all areas of production and play a key role in equipment uptime, downtime response, preventive maintenance, and long-term equipment reliability.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and the ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues. PLC/HMI knowledge, controls troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, and experience with automated equipment are preferred but not required.

Schedule:
This position works a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule. We currently have openings available on night shift.
Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
2-2-3 rotating schedule
Every other weekend scheduled off
No regular on-call requirement
Overtime is occasional and based on production needs
Pay:

Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including glass cutting machines, furnaces, conveyors, robotics, automated systems, and control systems
- Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, sensors, drives, control panels, wiring, relays, switches, and circuit protection
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, valves, cylinders, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor systems
- Repair or replace worn, damaged, or failed components
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and complete corrective actions
- Respond promptly to equipment downtime to minimize production interruptions
- Complete work orders, document repairs, and communicate follow-up needs clearly
- Support root cause analysis and long-term equipment reliability improvements
Troubleshooting
- Use meters, diagnostic tools, and hands-on troubleshooting methods to identify equipment problems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment documentation
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, sensors, drives, and automated systems as experience allows
- Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and other support teams to resolve equipment issues safely and efficiently
- Communicate repair status, equipment concerns, and follow-up needs clearly
Installation, Projects, and Upgrades
- Assist with installation of new production equipment and support systems
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
- Fabricate, modify, or repair equipment components as needed
- Test and verify repairs, installations, and upgrades for proper operation
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with company safety procedures and applicable codes
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a strong safety culture
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and performance
- Participate in continuous improvement and reliability-focused projects
- Suggest practical solutions to reduce downtime and improve production capability
