Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical and mechanical equipment throughout an industrial facility. The ideal candidate has strong electrical troubleshooting skills, understands industrial controls, and is committed to safe work practices. Monday-Friday $33.50-$37.50

Job Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical equipment. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance using modern diagnostic technologies. Use electrical testing equipment such as VOMs, meggers, and amprobes. Troubleshoot and maintain motor controls, lighting systems, and industrial electrical distribution systems. Work with three-phase motors, including starters, overloads, heaters, wiring terminations, phase rotation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Troubleshoot, install, and repair PLC systems and components.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, instrumentation diagrams, symbols, and control drawings. Use HMI screens to troubleshoot equipment and understand process controls. Troubleshoot, maintain, install, and configure AC motors and VFD systems, including control wiring and parameter adjustments. Install electrical conduit, cable trays, wiring, and electrical equipment. Size and wire small three-phase transformers. Determine proper fuse, wire, and overload sizing. Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and equipment.

Install and maintain emergency lighting, battery UPS systems, and inverter controls. Use computers and laptops to interface with PLCs, VFDs, servos, and other industrial control systems. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting. Knowledge of industrial plant electrical distribution and control systems. Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B safety and testing standards. Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to install and run rigid and flexible electrical conduit. Strong commitment to electrical safety and safe work practices. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and symbols. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to take direction and work effectively with technicians, mechanics, engineers, and contractors. Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing workloads and schedules. Must be willing to participate in an annual on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
