Job Overview
We are seeking a Lead Civil & Highways Operative to join our team working on infrastructure and highways projects across North Bristol and surrounding areas.
This role will involve working on a variety of civil engineering and highway schemes including kerbing, edging, and tactile paving installation. Work will be based from our Chippenham Depot or operatives may travel directly to site in North Bristol depending on project requirements.
We are looking for reliable, experienced operatives who can demonstrate strong knowledge of groundwork and highways activities and who are able to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
Duties
- Carry out general civils and highways works on infrastructure projects
- Install kerbs, edgers, and tactile paving (tac tiles) to required specifications
- Carry out groundworks and associated site activities
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow site health and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, machine operators, and other site teams
- Complete relevant site documentation where required
Qualifications
- Valid CSCS Card (minimum requirement)
- Valid Streetworks
- Dumper and roller ticket
- Proven experience in groundworks and highways works
- Experience installing kerbs, edgers and tactile paving
- Ability to work safely and follow site procedures
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred

- Self-employed/CIS postition.
