Traffic Control Flagger II

Road Safe Traffic Systems seeks a Traffic Control Flagger II to safely direct motorists and protect roadway crews on transportation and infrastructure projects. In this field role, you'll set up, maintain, and remove work zones, following traffic control plans and MUTCD standards. Responsibilities include flagging with stop/slow paddles, placing cones, signs, and barricades, communicating via radio, and monitoring site safety. You'll work in a safety-first, team-oriented culture with extensive training, advancement opportunities, and the chance to directly improve public and worker safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control work zones per plans and MUTCD standards
• Safely direct traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios
• Place, adjust, and remove cones, signs, barricades, and other safety devices
• Continuously monitor work zones for hazards and report unsafe conditions
• Communicate with crew, supervisors, and the public in a professional manner
• Follow all company, DOT, and OSHA safety rules and PPE requirements
• Assist with loading/unloading and cleaning traffic control equipment and vehicles
• Work outdoors in all weather, on days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Complete basic documentation, reports, and time records accurately
• Participate in ongoing safety and skills training to support advancement
