Materion Corporation is seeking a Skilled Electrical Technician to support advanced manufacturing operations in our high-performance materials facility. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, controls, and production equipment, including motors, drives, PLC-controlled machinery, and instrumentation. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, read and interpret electrical schematics, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you will help optimize equipment uptime and reliability in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, motors, drives, and control panels
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on PLC-controlled production equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, NFPA 70
- E, and plant safety procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history in CMMSSupport commissioning, upgrades, and modifications of electrical and control systems
