HEPA Environmental Services Inc, a specialized environmental contractor in Brunswick, OH, is seeking an Asbestos Supervisor to lead field abatement crews on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role oversees safe, compliant asbestos removal, including setup of containment, negative air systems, and decontamination units, while enforcing OSHA, EPA, and state regulations. The Supervisor trains technicians, conducts safety meetings, coordinates schedules and site logistics, and completes all required documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise asbestos abatement crews on residential, commercial, and industrial projects
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state asbestos regulations and company safety policies
  • Oversee setup of containment areas, negative air systems, and decontamination units
  • Inspect work areas, monitor air quality procedures, and verify proper removal and disposal of materials
  • Train and mentor technicians on safe work practices, PPE use, and proper abatement techniques
  • Coordinate project schedules, daily work plans, and site logistics with project managers
  • Complete and maintain job site documentation, permits, logs, and regulatory reports
  • Communicate with clients, inspectors, and internal team regarding project status and safety issues
  • Conduct site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident reporting as needed
  • Verify equipment readiness, including HEPA vacuums, respirators, and monitoring devices
