Vaughn Industries is looking for a dependable, hands-on Mechanic to join our team in Carey, OH.

As our Mechanic, you'll play an important role in keeping company vehicles, heavy equipment, tools, and other essential equipment safe, reliable, and job-ready
. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working with your hands, and solving mechanical challenges, we'd like to hear from you.

• Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair company vehicles, heavy equipment, and other equipment in a timely manner
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine the appropriate repairs
• Examine and test engines, brakes, transmissions, steering systems, and other components to identify problems
• Use specialized tools, diagnostic equipment, and software to pinpoint issues and improve equipment performance
• Maintain accurate and detailed service and repair records
• Track and account for expenses related to company vehicles and equipment
• Travel as needed, including responding to emergency road service calls for the company fleet
• Safely fuel, load, unload, and operate equipment as needed
• Assist with tool control, maintenance, and repairs to keep company tools in good working condition
• Safely use heavy equipment when performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems to maximize reliability and efficiency
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the service/repair industry working with gas & diesel powered equipment and their allied equipment and systems
• Willing to work in a shop environment as well as construction jobsites
• Class A CDL with airbrake and combination endorsements preferred
