Location: Mantua
Make an impact while doing work you love. As a Recreation Assistant at Hattie Larlham, you'll create meaningful, inclusive experiences for children and adults with disabilities, accompany individuals on community adventures, and gain your lifeguard certification with a flexible schedule.
Openings:
- Full-Time or Part-Time Recreation Assistant
- 1st / 2nd Shift, Sunday to Thursday. You get every Friday and Saturday off!
- Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities - 9772 Diagonal Rd., Mantua, OH 44255
- Plan, organize, and implement recreational activities, including pool sessions, entertainment, special events, and in-house programming.
- Provide appropriate care, supervision, and support to individuals served during recreational activities, outings, and events.
- Coordinate, schedule, and drive individuals to community field trips and activities for individuals served.
- Accurately document all recreational activities and community trips in a timely manner.
- Assist with volunteer group orientation and help maintain areas where recreation activities take place.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities or special needs is preferred.
- Ohio Driver's License and ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen in order to drive a Hattie Larlham vehicle.
- Have the ability to become certified in First Aid, CPR, and as a Shallow Water Lifeguard.
- Comfortable with providing direct care services to individuals served.
- $18.00 / hour + shift differential and the ability to access your earned wages prior to pay day.
- Earn your lifeguard, driver training, First Aid and CPR certifications for free.
