Wellness Attendant & Front Desk Representative

Location: Minerva

POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. This will be a dual role between the Wellness Center and Front Desk at the Minerva Area YMCA.

STARTING RATE

* $11.35/hr commensurate with experience

AVAILABLE HOURS

* Weekday afternoons and evenings

* Saturday mornings

* Other shifts as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

* Eagerness to welcome, connect, and engage with others.

* Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.

* Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.

* Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.

* Solid computer skills and Microsoft Office experience required.

* Experience working with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.

* First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred but will provide training

* Knowledge in overall health and wellness related fields

* In understanding of exercise equipment and procedures while in use

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants contributing to member engagement.

* Handles and resolves concerns.

* Promotes and sells memberships and programs.

* Builds relationships and helps connect community members to the YMCA.

* Part-time staff receive complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs.
