JOB SMMARYThe Youth and Family Services Coordinator provide case management specific to families temporarily residing in the YWCA’s Hamilton Co. or Clermont Co. domestic violence shelters. The Youth & Family Services Coordinator implements weekly program activities for youth, workshops, and parenting support, as well as works in consultation with the Coordination team and Client Services Manager.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Works on-site with families at both House of Healing and House of Peace.

Completes enrollment with school-aged children.

Administers ASQ assessments (Ages and Stages) with all eligible children residing in shelter.

Develops and implements an individual case plan with residents assigned by the Client Services Manager.

Ensures the provision of up-to-date and viable information, options, and referrals to residents relative to legal, medical, counseling, housing, educational, and employment opportunities.

Input intakes, exits, client documentation, service delivery, case notes, hotline information in HMIS system, and other databases.

Submits Sweet Cheek Diaper Bank orders, picks up orders, and turns in satisfaction surveys to Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank.

Coordinates monthly Parenting Classes with 4C for Children.

Plans and facilitates 2 parenting workshops per week.

Works closely with Intervention Coordinators to coordinate daycare for infants and children under 5 years of age.

Facilitates at least 3 planned groups for children each week.

Works one-on-one with children.

Conducts weekly conferences with parents.

Documents program activities and resident interactions within HMIS system or individual trackers.

Works with volunteers to plan/implement Children’s Program activities.

Monitors parent/child relationships.

Supports behavior management techniques.

Prepares statistics as directed by Director.

Attends all mandatory staff meetings and in-services.

Sanitize furniture, toys, electronics, and tidy up both playrooms and teen room, daily.

Other duties as needed or assigned by the Client Services Manager.

Clerical/General Administrati Responds to routine email, phone calls, etc.

Makes copies, prints documents, scan documents, etc.

Files paperwork (physical and digital filing systems).Key Relationships Interacts with Client Services Manager, Advocate Manager, Operations Manager, Director of Shelter Services, Senior Director, team members, volunteers, residents and their children, schools, and other organizations in support of advocating for families.

Required Education/Experience High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of experience working with children and/or families.

A minimum of 1-2 years providing direct case management to clients experiencing homelessness.

A minimum of 1-2 years working with survivors and families experiencing intimate partner violence/family violence.

A minimum of 1-2 years demonstrating expertise in trauma informed practices and advocacy services.

Preferred Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree.

A background or completed college courses in social work, psychology, or human services.

BSW license.

Skills/Specialized Knowledge/Abilities Political and social sensitivity

Able to commit to the needs of children and knowledge of the dynamics of abuse.

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently.

Ability to maintain confidentiality especially as it relates to location, staff, staff/client interaction and client files.

Ability to exercise flexibility, mature judgement, confidence and understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence.
