Accessibility Services Coordinator

The Part-Time Accessibility Services Specialist is responsible for coordinating disability services and facilitating the delivery of reasonable academic accommodations for students with disabilities. Reporting to the Vice President of Student Experience and Success Support Services (or designee), this position serves as the primary point of contact for students seeking disability-related accommodations and supports implementation of services in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Title IX, and College policies.

This position works collaboratively with faculty, staff, the College's Section 504 Compliance Officer, and other campus partners to ensure equitable access to academic programs and services. This position is based on the Nelsonville campus and is not eligible for telework.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. One (1) to three (3) years of experience in disability services, student services, higher education, counseling, education, or a related field. Knowledge of ADA, Section 504, and accommodation practices in higher education. Experience working directly with individuals with disabilities. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field. Experience coordinating disability accommodations in a postsecondary setting. Familiarity with accommodation management software and assistive technology. Experience providing training or consultation to faculty and staff. Knowledge, skills, and abilities knowledge of disability accommodation processes and best practices. Ability to interpret policies and maintain confidential records.

Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with faculty, staff, and students.

Working Conditions

Part-time position (approximately 20–29 hours per week, depending on departmental needs). Primarily office-based with frequent interaction with students, faculty, and staff. Occasional evening hours may be required during peak periods. Reasonable accommodations may be requested and reviewed according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
