Compensation: $27.49 per hour + 20% supplement.

Schedule:

The Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) seeks a Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1 to oversee facility behavioral health functions. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a solid background and a passion to habilitate youth.

• Within scope of practice, perform psychosocial interventions with youth, including individual, family, or group counseling, testing, and education.
• Develop intervention goals and objectives designed to educate and resolve client problems, participate in treatment system goal setting, and monitor youth responses to treatment.
• Maintain data and documentation to satisfy federal, state, and local agency requirements, including social histories, admission and aftercare summaries, court documents, and required forms.
• Serve on treatment teams and program development teams, attend training meetings, intradepartmental meetings, court hearings, and establish working relationships with other facilities, agencies, and support services for referrals and follow‑up services.
• Coordinate with peers, families, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care and outcome evaluation.

• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II) by Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board, OR
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board, OR
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board, OR
• Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
• Background in behavioral health and corrections work.
