Youth Residential Counselor Full Time | Evening and Overnight Opportunities Pay: $16.25-$17/hour + $4,000 Sign-On Bonus Genacross has provided compassionate, faith-based care to children, families, and communities for more than 160 years. We are seeking Youth Residential Counselors who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and are looking for a collaborative, team environment.
In this role, you will provide direct support and guidance to youth with emotional and behavioral challenges in a structured, home-like environment.
What You'll Do:
Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth
Build positive relationships and serve as a role model and mentor
Supervise daily routines, activities, and recreational programming
Teach social, behavioral, and independent living skills
Support youth through emotional and behavioral challenges
Use trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques
Assist with meals, hygiene, transportation, and daily living activities
Document behaviors, incidents, and progress accurately
Participate in treatment planning and team meetings
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming living environment
Youth Residential Counselor
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Must be at least 21 years old Valid driver's license required Strong communication and teamwork skills
Passion for working with children and adolescentsCPR/First Aid certification preferred
