Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own the development of core data enrichment, ingestion, and retrieval systems powering Glass Dollar’s AI-driven search and startup registry.

• Product-First Background: Experience working within a product team and with business stakeholders, making technical decisions grounded in real user and business impact.
• Experience: 4+ years in backend engineering roles, building and owning systems that process and serve data at scale.

  Strong proficiency in NodeJS, Type Script, relational databases, LLMs, and ETLs.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Skilled in architecture trade-offs, balancing delivery speed with quality, and delivering incremental value.

• Ecosystem Knowledge: Experience working in or with domains such as startup partnering, venture capital, M&A, or corporate procurement.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using NodeJS and Type Script .
• Own backend systems responsible for data ingestion and LLM-based enrichment

• Own and evolve our in-house RAG-based search architecture

• Work with Postgres and Prisma to ensure evolutionary data design, performance, and reliability.
• Act as a product engineer
  , understanding business problems and turning them into robust technical solutions with real impact.
• Take delivery ownership of major initiatives, including architecture decisions, trade‑offs, and long-term scalability.
• Continuously improve observability, reliability, and performance of backend systems in production.
