Title: Junior Data Engineer

Duration: 6-month with extensions

Location: Toronto, ON - 4 Day's Onsite, 1 Day WFH

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $45- $50/Hour

Interview Process: Round 1:
Virtual (Technical + Assessment Review) / Round 2:
In-Person

• Foundational SQL skills
• Python (data engineering/data management focus) OR Java with Spark
• Understanding of data engineering fundamentals and distributed data processing
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS preferred)
• Strong learning mindset, curiosity, and ability to self-teach
• AWS experience (S3, Athena, Glue, Lake Formation concepts)
• Experience with Spark, Scala, or Py Spark
• Exposure to data lakes, lakehouse architectures, or Apache Iceberg

• Financial services or investment data exposure
• Familiarity with data governance or data cataloging concepts
