The RoleIn this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and advancing our quality assurance practices within a cross‑functional, international development environment. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will drive the implementation of robust testing strategies, foster innovation, and ensure high standards for our cloud‑based products. You will collaborate closely with diverse teams, making a tangible impact on product quality and the overall engineering culture.
This position is based in Cham, Bavaria, Germany
, and we offer a hybrid work model that requires at least 50% office presence.
- Jointly design and execute quality assurance strategies and processes within a cross‑functional development team.
- Collaborate with product managers and development engineers to develop dedicated quality assurance measures based on requirements.
- Apply software architecture expertise to evaluate system designs for testability, recommend improvements, and align quality assurance strategies with modern architectural patterns.
- Create and adapt automated test activities to support our expanding SaaS business.
- Lead and execute performance testing initiatives, including planning, scripting, execution, and analysis of results for complex enterprise systems using a left‑shift approach.
- Promote the test‑driven development paradigm and lead initiatives to increase and maintain high test coverage.
- Collaborate in a hybrid environment with colleagues across Cham (Oberpfalz), Munich, Berlin, Sibiu, and Timișoara.
- Drive innovation in quality engineering by evaluating, implementing, and championing new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance product quality and team productivity.
- University degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent education.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software development, ideally with a product company.
- At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies in a cloud environment.
- Proven expertise in CI/CD, testing strategies and techniques, with hands‑on experience in Java, gRPC, Flutter, Docker, monitoring tools, and cloud architectures.
- Fluent English; conversational German is important for effective team integration.
