Senior .NET Application Lead/ Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior .NET Application Architect and Lead Developer to drive application migration and modernization initiatives following a recent tax accounting system implementation. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, operating in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing MVC-based applications and recommend modernization strategies
• Define architecture patterns and technical standards aligned with organizational needs
• Break down technical work into milestones, deliverables, and tasks
• Provide development estimates and support project planning
• Lead hands-on development of .NET applications and APIs (REST & Graph
  
  QL)
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, indexes, and queries
• Ensure best practices with Entity Framework (code-first, data access patterns)
• Enhance front-end applications using React and Prime React components
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical designs
• Partner with IT Project Manager and stakeholders to define scope and sequencing
• Mentor developers through code reviews and troubleshooting
• Manage workflows using Git Hub Enterprise
• Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to IT leadership

REQUIRED SKILLS

Professional .NET development experience

Demonstrated experience taking ownership of existing applications and codebases

Deep expertise with C#, .NET, and Entity Framework

Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and using GraphQL

Advanced SQL Server expertise including stored procedures and indexing strategies

Proven experience using Git Hub Enterprise.

Demonstrated experience leading development efforts and mentoring other developers

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing legacy MVC applications
• Familiarity with tax/accounting systems or financial applications
• Strong problem-solving and architectural decision-making skills
