Software Developer Laser Communication for UAVs ( f / m / d )

We’re looking for a passionate Embedded Software Engineer to help bring our UAV laser terminal systems to life. If you thrive on precision, autonomy, and seeing your code take flight - literally - you’ll fit right in.

What You'll Do

• Develop embedded real-time control software for our advanced laser terminal systems
• Implement robust PAT algorithms including control loops, state machines, and peripheral interfaces
• Build software for Xilinx Zynq ARM platforms , in both bare-metal and Peta Linux environments
• Apply your knowledge of coordinate systems , pointing algorithms, and control dynamics to real-world systems
• Participate in field and flight testing to validate system performance in challenging environments
• Collaborate closely with hardware, optics, and systems teams to integrate, debug, and optimize the full system stack

What You Bring

• MS degree in Electronics, Software Engineering, or a closely related field with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in developing embedded software for laser terminals or similar precision mechatronic or optical systems
• Solid understanding of real-time control systems , pointing/tracking algorithms, and coordinate transformations
• Hands-on experience with FPGA-SoC platforms (preferably Xilinx Zynq)
• Familiarity with both low-level (bare-metal) and Linux-based development workflows
• A collaborative mindset and readiness to contribute to a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary team
• Bonus: experience with airborne or aerospace systems
