Modeling and Simulation Engineer Security Clearance

We are searching for a talented software engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. The role is mid‑level, working with a diverse team of software engineers and analysts to explore and develop solutions in support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center and other Department of Defense and Intelligence Community projects. The candidate will evolve an existing Modeling & Simulation framework (AFSIM) and its codebase based upon customer needs, incorporate scenarios and models into AFSIM, and perform testing and verification.

The team practices Modern Agile software development with a focus on innovation and adaptability.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Minimum of 3 years C++, C#, Python, or Java development experience
• Minimum of 3 years software development experience
• Experience using source control and CI/CD tools such as git, SVN, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, and Gitlab runners
• Active Top‑Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

• Experience developing software for Linux platforms
• Experience following agile development processes
• Experience working with mission‑level M&S frameworks such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE
• Experience applying object‑oriented design patterns within software applications
• Experience with model verification and validation (V&V) testing
• Experience with integrated development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Py Charm
• Familiarity with DoD security practices
