We are currently searching for a Senior Software Developer to join a small team of developers tasked with the design, development, and maintenance of Exceptional Innovation’s media player application.

• Evaluate requirements and modify existing software to meet client needs, improve performance, or adapt the application to new hardware.
• Work with hardware engineering staff to ensure smooth functionality between software applications and various set‑top box hardware components.
• Apply industry‑specific knowledge, scientific analysis, and embedded software development principles to complex situations.
• Investigate and debug error reports from internal staff and external clients, and properly document fixes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field of study.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years writing code for set‑top boxes or other streaming‑related technologies.
• Previous development experience with other media players or frameworks and set‑top box hardware.
• Programming experience: C/C++ (min 7 years).
• Experience with RTOS (min 4 years).
• Experience with Digital Transmission Standards such as ATSC, DVB, Section filtering, MPEG Transport Stream (min 2 years).
• Experience developing Linux Device Drivers (min 3 years).
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash (min 2 years).
• Experience with streaming frameworks such as GStreamer (min 3 years).
• Experience in Media Encryption, DRM, Cryptography (min 2 years).
• Experience with Audio/Video Analysis tools (min 2 years).
• Familiarity with debugging I2C communications (min 1 year).
