Software Engineer Security Clearance

The Full Stack Software Engineer will support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) by performing software development activities focused on creating web-based tools aimed at decreasing user friction and improving usability of existing complex Modeling and Simulation systems.

• Design and implement new capabilities.
• Resolve issues found in existing code.
• Integrate capabilities with external services and tools.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with team members.
• Communicate status and technical details with customers.
• Collaborate directly with the customer to drive requirements.
• Develop solutions based on customer needs and existing points of friction.
• Occasional out-of-state travel required for client events.

• 3+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant STEM field.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Ability to organize and communicate complex technical details clearly.
• Experience with RESTful web services.
• Experience with server‑side languages, preference towards Python and/or C++.
• Strong preference for modern frontend JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with version control software (e.g., Git).
• Experience with bug/issue tracking software such as Jira.

• Experience configuring and deploying web applications using Kubernetes, OKD, or Helm.
• Experience with UI design using React.
• Experience creating dashboards to simplify data presentation and navigation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing Git Lab CI or Jenkins.
• Experience containerizing web applications with Docker or Podman, with two or more communicating containers.
• Experience utilizing relational databases to handle large and complex datasets.
• Ability to demonstrate experience via personal portfolio or open-source contributions.
