Lifeguard

Description of the role:

The Lifeguard position at Mohican Lodge in Perrysville, Ohio plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests in and around the swimming pool area. The Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring the pool, checking for wrist bands and enforcing safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Additionally, they may assist with pool maintenance tasks and provide exceptional customer service to guests.

Season starts Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Mohican Lodge will reimeburse for Lifeguard certification if hired and course is completed. Keep an eye out for classes to start, YMCA - Ashland, Mansfield, Mt Vernon, Friendly House in Mansfield are the few I know around the area that offer classes. If you know of other locations that is fine!

• Monitor the swimming pool area to ensure the safety of all guests
• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations
• Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents
• Provide first aid and CPR as needed
• Assist with pool maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and chemical testing
• Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or questions

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Valid lifeguard certification
• Strong swimming skills
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR
• Excellent observation and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations

• $15 per hour compensation
