The Sport Supervisor position is responsible for observing and monitoring sports leagues and keeping accurate league records. This position also provides routine field preparation and maintenance. Recreation staff have the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety of program participants.
The availability of work hours for this position will be determined by one or all of the following factors: program length, weather, and budget. Hours for this position will generally be Monday through Friday from 5:45 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Sundays from 1:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate.

– Every employee in this position must be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of current guest service and business practices
- Provide excellent guest service to participants and spectators
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of recreation operations and philosophy
- Assist in the event of emergency situations such as fire alarms and injuries
- Follow established guidelines concerning facility operations, policies and procedures
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other City staff
- Make decisions recognizing established procedures and practices and use resourcefulness and tact in meeting new situations and/or problems
