Overview

Lake Center Christian School is building a pool of qualified candidates to serve as Athletics Coaches for various sports programs. While there are currently no open positions, applications are accepted year-round to identify potential coaches for future needs. As a Christ-centered educational community, our coaches are expected to model Christian character, foster teamwork, and encourage athletes to grow both in skill and in faith.

• Boys Golf

• Bowling
• Girls Basketball
• Boys Basketball
• Baseball
• Softball
• Boys Track
• Girls Track
• Sideline Cheer

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead practices and competitions in alignment with the school's mission and athletic program goals.
• Foster a positive, Christ-centered team culture that encourages sportsmanship, discipline, and perseverance.
• Teach fundamental skills, game strategy, and position-specific techniques appropriate to the athletes' age and ability.
• Supervise student-athletes at all practices, games, and team events, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, assistant coaches, and school administration.
• Maintain compliance with all OHSAA and school policies.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with Lake Center Christian School's Statement of Faith.
• Previous coaching and/or playing experience in the sport(s) desired.
• Ability to mentor student-athletes in both skill development and personal character.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Current or willingness to obtain required certifications (CPR, First Aid, OHSAA, etc.).

Compensation

Coaching positions are seasonal, stipend positions; amount varies by sport and level.
