Join The Wilds in creating a seamless, welcoming guest experience by supporting transportation and parking operations. As a Shuttle/Parking Booth Team Member, you’ll help guests start their adventure smoothly while contributing to the mission of the Columbus Zoo Family of Parks.
Guest Experience & Front‑Line Service- Collect parking fees, when applicable, and direct visitors to designated parking areas.
- Process accurate sales transactions efficiently and securely.
- Provide friendly and prompt transportation services throughout visitor areas.
- Offer guests information about available activities and experiences at The Wilds.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while ensuring the safety of guests and team members.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Keep all vehicles clean and well‑maintained.
- Operate shuttle vehicles safely while following all traffic and operational regulations.
- Operate a two‑way radio for effective communication with team members and management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Strive to further the mission of the organization and support The Wilds, Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, and Safari Golf Club.
- Comply with The Wilds’ Drug‑Free Workplace Policy and successfully pass required background checks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent guest service skills and commitment to providing a welcoming experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members across The Wilds and Columbus Zoo Family of Parks.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Effective decision‑making skills and ability to work without direct supervision.
- Must adhere to all company policies and safety standards.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to work varied shifts based on weather conditions, guest attendance, and operational needs.
- Possession of a valid state issued driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Subject to a criminal background check and Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) review.
This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
