Del Helper

Position Summary

The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, back up, prepare and restore the job site, and prepare the truck for the following day and maintain the truck and equipment.

• Compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines particularly as it relates to OSHA and DOT for the safety of all personnel.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure accuracy of order.
• Safely unload product and deliver to assigned area as directed by the customer.
• Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallets on truck.
• Navigate routes to the job site.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately.
• Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. for carrying materials such as drywall and joint compound.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Remain standing 90% of the time, moving from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles onto the job site.
• Position self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom.
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. while unloading and loading flatbed.
• Work outside in various weather conditions while making deliveries.

• Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
• Manage stress under customer deadlines.
• Multitask and receive information and directions.
• Communicate solutions quickly if problems occur.
• Demonstrate sound judgment.
