Position SummaryAs a Field Investigator, you will drive a company‑issued vehicle through designated areas to locate vehicles that are subject to repossession. You will work closely with our recovery agents and interact with customers in the field. You will not physically repossess any vehicle. That part is handled entirely by our recovery agents.
Your vehicle is equipped with camera technology to assist in locating and identifying target vehicles. All work‑related fuel expenses are covered through a company‑provided fuel card.
Training ProgramAll newly hired Field Investigators complete a thorough training program at United's corporate headquarters in Memphis, TN. Travel, meals, and accommodations are fully covered. Training combines classroom instruction, such as covering the role, tools, and processes, with hands‑on field experience running routes and making contact, so you are fully prepared before going solo.
United provides the tools and support needed for success, including:

Qualifications & RequirementsMust be at least 23 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for insurance approval)
Ability to pass pre‑employment screening and background checks.
Strong communication, organizational, and independent working skills
Willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Strong visual acuity at varying distances and conditions, including peripheral vision and depth perception
Ability to sit comfortably and remain focused for extended periods
Ability to safely react to changing road conditions and unexpected situations
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks associated with vehicle operation
Ability to occasionally ascend/descend stairs or long driveways
Ability to comfortably operate vehicle controls without strain
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as part of daily duties
