Warehouse Stand Up Forklift Operator

Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Minster, Ohio.

Up to $27 per hour (including shift differentials).

• Base pay: $23.00 per hour
• 0.50 increase after 6 months and 1 year
• Overtime Pay: $34.50 per hour
• Shift Differentials up to $4.00/hr on nights
• Productivity incentives: eligible to earn up to an extra $10/hr
• Monthly attendance bonuses
• Sign-on bonus: $1,000 paid in four installments at 30, 60, 90, 180 days

• Night shift options:
  Wednesday – Saturday 4:30 pm – 4:00 am
• Night shift options:
  Wednesday – Saturday 5:30 pm – 5:00 am
• 44–55 hours per week
• 11 hour shift
• 2‑month schedule provided in advance

Handling products (e.g., yogurt) using stand‑up forklifts in a safe, state‑of‑the‑art environment.

• Loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
• Accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, loading and unloading trucks
• Paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours of production
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
• Valid forklift operator’s license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Team player; able to work within a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Must be punctual with a good attendance record
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Possesses a high degree of initiative
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Can stand for long periods
• Can work using health and safety methods
• Must be available to work on a flexible schedule across various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
