Schedule:
Full‑time. Compensation: HMW $21.48 (per hour) or HT $22.29 (per hour).
Union: OCSEA.
Responsibilities- You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer.
- You will attend training to obtain a CDL licensure; if not already a licensed CDL holder.
- You will perform highway maintenance activities, including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing.
- You will perform snow and ice operations.

- Highway Maintenance Worker 1: Formal education in arithmetic, including addition and subtraction, and reading, writing, speaking in common English vocabulary. Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without air‑brake restriction.
- Highway Technician 1: Formal education in arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, decimals, percentages and fractions; ability to read, write and speak common English vocabulary; 3 months of training or experience in operation of basic equipment. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without air‑brake restriction.

This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA standards. All bargaining unit new hires must serve a one‑year probationary period. Position will be filled pursuant to the OCSEA/AFSCME Contract.
Applicants may be required to undergo criminal background checks, drug screening and must register as a driver in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
