Transportation Supervisor

Administers pupil transportation services. Oversees ongoing driver training and vehicle maintenance programs to ensure safe and dependable services. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, post-secondary training and/or equivalent work experience in transportation or closely related service industry, Ohio Pupil Transportation Certification, and a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Preferred skills include computer knowledge, transportation software, and effective presentation skills.

Responsibilities include directing the delivery of district-wide pupil transportation services, maintaining transportation rosters, coordinating non-routine use of school buses, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental laws. The position also involves monitoring road and weather conditions, supervising emergency evacuation drills, and investigating school bus accidents. The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the results of duties delegated to staff and works under the direction of the Director of Operations.
