Materials & Supplies Attendant (Augmented)
Perform Materials and Supplies warehousing operations at the assigned location. Responsible for safely maintaining inventories, counting, receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies used for maintenance, operation, and construction activities. Expected to align personal goals with the Mission, Vision, and Values of OVEC/IKEC.
Key Responsibilities• Perform work, on assigned shift, in connection with receiving, storing, issuing and recording material, supplies and equipment; operate material handling equipment and Company cars and trucks.
• Inspect materials, supplies, and equipment received from all sources to determine quality and quantity by visual examination to ascertain breakage and condition and prepare necessary receiving forms and records.
• Operate material handling equipment such as hand truck, forklift or hoist, as necessary, to load, unload, pack, stack, move, count, weigh, sort, and arrange materials and supplies and equipment in bins, shelves, or storage areas and to make minor alterations to bins and shelves.
• Issue materials, supplies, and equipment according to established procedure or instruction and keep required records.
• Make physical and visual inventory counts and prepare the necessary records to ensure inventory records are accurate, helping to maintain adequate quantities of materials, supplies, and equipment on hand.
• Drive Company car or truck to pick up or deliver freight, express parcel post, supplies, material and equipment to and/or from manufacturers, dealers, agencies or other Company units. A legal driver license certification by the state must be maintained.
• Maintain stock, materials, tools, and equipment in storeroom and staging areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Report to supervisor any irregularities and abnormal conditions within assigned areas as well as throughout the plant setting.
• Assist, as directed, employees of higher classification.
• Assist in training other employees in work of this nature.
• Become familiar with the Employee Manual, the Safety and the Gears for Success Manuals and perform duties in accordance with the Company safety rules, operating regulations and practices.
• Perform similar or less skilled work, as assigned.
• Become familiar with and perform data entry tasks within the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system related to inventory management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform duties in accordance with all applicable federal and state safety laws and regulations, and all applicable company safety rules and operating procedures; when supervising others, assure that safe work practices are followed and conduct safety meetings; make suggestions for the improvement of the safety program and encourage others to do so.
• Responsible for knowing and complying with the laws and Code of Business Conduct related to the performance of the aforementioned duties.
Two years of power plant experience desired.
