Stand-Up Forklift Operator

This role supports e-commerce operations by safely and efficiently moving products throughout a distribution center using warehouse equipment. You will help ensure merchandise arrives in perfect condition by unloading inbound trucks, stocking inventory in designated locations, picking and packing orders, and loading outbound shipments for store delivery.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment to move products safely and efficiently throughout the distribution center.
• Unload merchandise from inbound trucks and verify that shipments match documentation.
• Process the receipt of merchandise by sorting, organizing, and preparing items for storage.
• Stock received merchandise into specific designated locations in the warehouse.
• Locate specified products and accurately pick items to fulfill customer and store orders.
• Pack smaller products into larger containers or cartons for shipment to stores, ensuring items are protected and properly labeled.
• Move picked and packed products to the loading dock in preparation for outbound shipment.
• Load merchandise onto trucks for shipment to company locations, following loading procedures and safety guidelines.
• Inspect products and packaging to ensure items are in sellable condition before shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, or e-commerce fulfillment environment.
• Comfort working with various types of warehouse equipment and tools.
• Ability to work effectively on a second shift schedule.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Reliability and punctuality in adhering to scheduled shifts.

Work Environment

This position is based in a distribution center environment on the second shift. You will work around warehouse equipment and moving machinery, handling cartons, pallets, and various merchandise. The role involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving products throughout the shift. You will work in an organized facility with designated storage locations, loading docks, and packing areas, following established safety and operational procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richfield, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.65 - $21.65/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
