Overview:
Select products from inventory and assemble, pack, and transport them to staging areas for shipment. Perform all duties safely, accurately, and meet productivity standards. This role requires working in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments, maintaining productivity, and ensuring accurate product handling and shipment.
- Follow essential selection pick path to correctly label and stage product on pallet.
- Load and unload product deliveries as required.
- Record item information into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or applicable inventory system.
- Maintain accurate records of shortages and report them to the supervisor.
- Stack product on pallets with heavier items on the bottom to prevent damage.
- Deliver stacked pallets to assigned area on the loading dock and secure them with shrink wrap.
- Work with supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink and maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Ensure neatness, cleanliness, and organization of the assigned work area and aisles.
- Report unsafe issues or Lock Out/Tag Out items immediately.
- Obey all safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and perform daily inspections.
- Use warehouse computers and equipment professionally and safely.
- Understand and comply with company policies, including attendance, code of conduct, and handbooks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations such as OSHA, HACCP, and BRC.
- Cross‑train in other warehouse functions and perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; prior warehouse experience or training preferred.
- Experience with material handling equipment, preferably with reach trucks, including Crown and/or Raymond reach truck experience.
- Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak simple instructions and correspondences.
- Proficient in basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rate, ratio, percent, and interpreting bar graphs.
- Common sense reasoning to carry out instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
- Ability to become certified on material handling equipment or already hold certification.
Associate must manipulate objects with hands, stand and walk frequently, reach, lift up to 60 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include near vision, distance vision, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentWork involves fast-moving equipment, freezer/cooler warehouse environments, occasional wet or humid conditions, exposure to chemicals and high voltage equipment, vibration, and a loud noise level.
Work HoursFull‑time position with varying schedules that may include shifts (day, night), weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Hours may vary based on customer order requirements.
CompensationBase pay ranges from $10.00 to $48.00 per hour. Compensation may be based on skills, experience, and other factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Incentive Plan.
