The Irrigation Technician assists the Golf Course Foreman with the maintenance of an upscale golf facility. Performs general maintenance and troubleshoots irrigation systems. Assists in the guidance and supervision of maintenance staff. Works as a team member to improve golf course conditions, assisting Golf Course Foreman with turf maintenance program, golf course clean‑up program as well as special golf course projects.

To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other associates or guests.
Skills and Qualifications- Minimum two (2) years experience at Operator level.
- Valid California Driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Training in irrigation.
- Approachable demeanor, friendly, team attitude, ability to follow directions and supervision.
- Good understanding and ability to speak and read English.
- Previous golf course/landscaping experience.
- Previous experience with operation of heavy machinery.

- Assist with irrigation troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Assist in chemical and fertilizer applications.
- Perform rodent control.
- Assist in over‑seeding program, greens aerification, post storm clean‑up, and special golf events needs.
- Assist Golf Course Foreman in preparing golf course for daily play, including:
- Empty trash, change drinking water, maintain golf ball washers, place tee markers, change cups.
- Rake bunkers, mow fairways, greens, roughs, green and tee bank approaches, collars and tees, edge around trees/bunkers/cart paths/sprinkler heads/curbs/etc.
- Rake leaves, pick‑up trash, clean‑up fallen tree branches, blow/sweep cart paths, weed flower beds.
- Properly clean, maintain, and store golf course equipment and machinery.
- Perform daily tasks in a manner that ensures a safe work environment.
