Golf Maintenance - Section Worker

The section worker under the direction of the golf course superintendent and/or supervisor, will safely utilize a variety of hand tools and limited machinery and equipment use, to perform maintenance duties around the golf course and hotel grounds. Responsibilities also includes cleaning equipment after each use, and general cleaning.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• Valid California Driver's license.
• Approachable demeanor:
  Friendly, team attitude, ability to follow directions and supervision.
• Ability to work early mornings and some weekends/holidays.
• Ability to uphold the standard levels outlined in the departments Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Ojai Valley Inn Handbook

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Safely operate golf course maintenance equipment effectively and efficiently.

Properly fill divots and repair ball marks on greens.

Properly rake, edge, and perform overall maintenance to bunkers.

Properly operate walking greens mower.

Assist with daily maintenance on the golf course, hotel grounds, and maintenance facility. Duties may included but not limited to loading and unloading materials, trimming trees, removing cuttings , laying sod, and drainage/irrigation installation and repair.

Perform other duties as assigned.
