Chief Facility Engineer

This is an advanced professional position with administrative responsibility for the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of varied Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Reservation facilities. Work involves responsibility for planning, assigning and reviewing the work of a small technical staff. The emphasis of the work is in the development, management and practical application of policies and procedures to ensure success in the monitoring and application of the work of architectural and engineering consultants and contractors engaged in the design and construction of a variety of projects.

Responsibilities include analyzing special conditions/circumstances which arise on the various reservation facilities, assisting staff with solving difficult or unusual problems. Work is reviewed for general adherence to established guidelines and procedures.

High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Associates degree or certification from a instructional program or trade school is highly preferred. A minimum of four (4) years progressively responsible experience in the electrical field and principles and practices of construction, and maintenance of facilities is required. Active and valid Professional State of Florida Electrical. Contractors License is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required.

Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office packages. Ability to travel across reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
