Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
Job Summary
Responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions, and a friendly atmosphere.
Responsibilities% Of Time Compliance: 50%
- Observe customers and check identification for age verification, identifying customers who should not be served additional alcohol and monitoring customers to assist in the prevention of open containers leaving the store.
- Deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.
% Of Time Customer Excellence: 25%
- Provides continuous attention to customers' needs.
- Greets, assists, and thanks customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Offers product suggestions to customers when appropriate.
% Of Time Operational Excellence: 25%
- Stocks and rotates department products to ensure freshness and date control.
- Restocks and uses supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest supply cost.
- Operates department equipment and tools;
Operates cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently recognizing all forms of tender and providing the correct change when appropriate. - Keeps work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards; reports faulty equipment and hazards to management.
Required:
High School / GED Diploma.
Required:
English.
Preferred:
English and Spanish.
Relevant
Experience:
0-3 years minimum, no Supervisory Experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have TIPS Training prior to position start date.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and proficiently follow instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- High standard of integrity and reliability.
- Basic computer skills required to participate in online training.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced and busy environment.

Physical Demands:
Standing or walking on various types of flooring, manual dexterity, repeated movements with both hands and feet, reaching, carrying, pushing, lifting. The employee may be exposed to indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heated, and wet/humid working conditions. Safety Risk Factors:
Twist back and/or neck, walk on slippery surfaces, work with hazardous equipment, exposure to loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes, sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions and toxins. Required equipment: cleaning supplies, office equipment, register, pricing gun, scales, scanner, material handling equipment. Protective Equipment: goggles, gloves, back brace. Lifting requirement 50 lbs., pulling requirement 250 lbs.
