We currently have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced tractor technician at our beautiful Cordele, GA terminal.

The Tractor Technician furnishes quality service to major and minor in-house repairs to the fleet in a timely and efficient manner while complying with Indian River Transport policy and procedure.

Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair all aspects of Peterbilt tractors
* Keep a clean and organized work area
* Continue to keep up to date on tractor repair procedures
* Diagnose and repair Hydraulic problem
* Charge out parts as needed
* Tag parts for warranty and cores as needed
* Write repair stories for warranty and all other repairs

Qualifications:

* Minimum 2 years experience on diesel semi-tractor maintenance and repair and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* DOT certified in FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes. (Preferred).
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Must have basic computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer.
* Must have proper tools.
